Perched on the western shore of the Lower Saluda and Congaree Rivers, the West Metro Area anchors one of the fastest growing counties in South Carolina. Its location at the juncture of three major interstates (I-20, I-26 & I-77), and directly across the river from the state capital of Columbia, has placed it in an enviable position for residents, businesses and visitors. The area also boasts of a unique blend of slow, southern charm and a bustling urban environment.  A visit to the West Metro Area provides an array of activities from water sports, nature hikes along the 3.5 mile Riverwalk, casual shopping for hidden treasures in the Antiques District, to visiting two of South Carolina’s top attractions – the Riverbanks Zoo and Botanical Gardens, and the SC State Museum. Did we mention sports? Whether playing or just watching, you can enjoy golf, tennis, softball, baseball or soccer year-round. Our facilities are outstanding. In fact, host your next tournament with us!  We welcome you to our home, and hope you enjoy your visit! And please come back as soon as you can!

The new South Carolina State Farmers Market is a state-of-the-art facility that provides the agricultural community of South Carolina with a one-of-a-kind venue in which to showcase South Carolina products. The site is located on U.S. Hwy. 321 and is within 1.5 miles of both I-77 and I-26. The market design is based upon a clearly defined plan that provides separate and distinct areas for the major wholesale vendors and the retail sale of South Carolina agricultural products. A farmers’ shed section, which is owned and operated by the South Carolina Department of Agriculture, provides an environment for South Carolina farmers to rent space on a daily or seasonal basis in order to offer their products.
