The Election Commission is a three-member board whose members are appointed by City Council to oversee the elections and referendums that the City conducts. The Election Commission establishes the filing period for municipal elections in accordance with the S. C. Code of Laws of 1976, Section 5-15-50. The Commission reviews statements of candidacy, organizes managers for polls and certifies the results of elections.
