Every person engaged or intending to engage in any calling, business, occupation or profession listed in the rate classification index portion of the Business License Ordinance of the City of West Columbia, in whole or in part, within the limits of the City of West Columbia, South Carolina, is required to pay an annual license fee and obtain a business license. If establishing a new business in the City, whether in an existing building or a new building, you must request a fire inspection and receive an approval form from the Fire Inspector at 739-6225 prior to obtaining a business license.
