(West Columbia, S.C.) – The West Columbia Police Department is teaming up with BILO, located at 2916 Emmanuel Church Road, this Saturday, November 7, 2015 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. for a food drive.
The police department food pantry is all but empty and all donations will be accepted. Police officers will be at BILO trying to “fill up” patrol cars with donations from the public. Officers will have a list of requested non-refrigerated items that will in turn be put together to give meals to needy families for the holidays.
Sometimes the best meal a child receives is at school, and they do not have that same opportunity during the holiday season.
